I passed the Numeracy PST! This means I have almost everything ready for the start of the PGCE course this coming September :D
So I am spending the rest of August working on the homework we have to complete before our first class on September 5th. This includes an A3 sketchbook exploring the theme 'Groups', two short essays, a self eval form on my subject knowledge, a trip to a museum or gallery and reflecting on that visit in the sketchbook.
I'm well on my way :D

A few things to update with!
Firstly, I was interviewed as part of an art and minority-sexuality project recently. You can find the interview HERE.
Secondly, I passed the English Language PST with no problems, however I failed my first attempt at the Numeracy PST. My second attempt at it is on the 6th, so wish me luck.
Thirdly, a commission I completed recently was used as banner at the commissioner's table in a convention, and it looks pretty spectacular even if I do say so myself! Click the images below to see it full size :D

I've scanned most of my portfolio and have started uploading the images to the website - so far I have added to the Plein Air Sketchbook and Art Journal pages, so go check those out :)
I have a couple of Malta water colour paintings on the go at the moment, and I'll get those uploaded as soon as they're done.
On Saturday 2nd June I'll be taking the first of my Professional Skills Tests, the English Literacy test. On the 16th I'll be taking the Numeracy test. I need to pass these tests in order to be eligible for the PGCE I have been accepted to start in September - so fingers crossed for me please!

I've got the website up and running for a number of reasons, the main one being that I need an online portoflio right now. As it's still under construction, that means there will be a steady update of artwork over the next few days and weeks. So, keep an eye on things if you want to see what's coming :)
From 10/06 to 17/06 I am going to be in Malta for a family trip. I will be taking my sketchbooks and some media with me, and I will likely produce a number of sketches and maybe a couple of plein air paintings and drawings. I'll get those up on the site asap after we return.
From September, I will be attending Brighton University, taking a PGCE course in Art and Design for Key Stage 3-4. Through the year, I will obviously be studying how to become a Secondary Art Teacher, but I will also be working on a number of art projects. I will be adding those to this website as I go, so there will be many updates to look forward to :)
